With healthcare premiums rising and everyday costs squeezing household budgets, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) has launched an expansive multistate campaign aimed at holding House Republicans accountable for policies the union says are driving higher prices and jeopardizing access to care.
The initiative, active in 14 states, centers the personal stories of nurses, homecare providers, and public service workers. SEIU argues that recent Republican votes—especially those allowing key healthcare subsidies to expire at the end of the month—have contributed to increased hardships for working families while boosting corporate profits.
