Statewide Ballot Initiatives

YES on I-940:  I-940 improves violence de-escalation, mental-health, and first-aid training for law-enforcement officers and creates a fair standard for the use of deadly force. As families and caregivers of individuals with disabilities and behavioral health needs, we want to make sure that the people that we care for are safe in our communities.  I-940 helps to increase trust and make everyone in our communities, whether white, black, or brown, safer.

YES on I- 1631:  I-1631 invests in clean air and clean energy for Washington paid for by a fee on the largest carbon polluters (oil refineries, utilities and other major carbon emitters). We know if we don’t act now, the threat of pollution will only get worse and cause more harm to our communities and our kids’ health. I-1631 is a practical first step to ensure clean air and clean water for everyone in Washington and gives us the chance to pass on a healthier state to the next generation.
